Hey guys,
Thanks a lot for your help.
The delay was being induced by ever increasing job logs.
We had logs over 2 years old. The huge size of the logs was causing the performance drop.
Once the older logs have been purged, The performance is good again.

Thanks again for your support.

Perhaps it's obvious to everyone else, but I'm curious what "disturbing the link properties" means here. :? I mean,if I have a job flow like this. seq.File---->transformer------->oracle when I am trying to keep a peek stage in the middle of transformer and oracle stages but by doing that ...

setting a peek stage in a developed job

Hi , I have a doubt regarding the usage of peek stage. I have a DS job that was productionzed and I need to analyse it for some business requirements. I thought of putting a peek stage in between the stages of the job but I am unable to do it without disturbing the link properties. I finally ended u...

Hi Chulett, We have a script (being kicked off every 5 mins from CRON) which keeps monitoring a set of ftp directories for files(with each file having one record in it). If files are found in any of the monitored directories, the files from are picked up and all the corresponding records are clubbed...

Datastage-Unix I/O transfer problem ?

Hi, We have a Data stage project, running 24X7, whose performance has been steadily degrading. The mean time taken for processing a record has been increasing over time. On analysis, we found that the actual running time of the job has not changed , rather the time between the Unix script calling th...

It's -jobinfo that you need to run before -run, not -jobstatus. The -jobstatus option is a sub-option of -run. Search DSXchange for error code -14, and then reduce the total load on your server. ... You can issue user defined query ' delete from tablename with nologging" that will do couple of things 1. It will not make log 2. It is very fast compared to normal delete. Rgds, Chakradhar. Hi when I try executing this stmt(with nologging) in oracle..it is giving me an error that "statem...
