greetings rjdickson, Thanks for the reply! If you add another J to the list it will still give you Frank instead of J because its now the highest frequency. Since both Freq and Lenght would always get a hit, it will never use the previous rules best record if there is a tie condition in the last rul...

Are you sure there is an intersection between the data results between TableA_ColB and TableA_ColC? Could you please post the actual rule logic. Are any of the fields nullable?

I have a date in the format of yymm, It there anyway of getting the StringToTimestamp function to default the century properly. When you don't specify the century, it always uses 19. If the year part is greater than 50 I would want it to use 19. Otherwise it should use 20. StringToTimestamp(DSLink4....
