DataStage version 6 on Windows 2000.
Is it possible to populate job/sequence parameters from a stage variable or value from an input row? If so, how would you go about it?
I know it sounds simple, but I can't get anything to work.
Cheers

Thanks guys. I was attempting to do a Clear Status when I read in the manual that you should ensure that all the job's processes have ended (via the job resources dialog box). When I try to 'show by job' I get the following message: ERROR: Cannot find any process numbers for stages in job SEL020Mana...

Yesterday and today I have sent numerous stop requests (for both the job and the sequence) to the server via Director but nothing happens. Oracle date format
Using DataStage version 6 and I have no experience with Oracle databases. I am trying to insert a row in an Oracle table VIA AN ODBC stage. The Oracle table has a column with a 'date' format. How do I format the date field so that the insert works? I am currently getting the following message: [Data...

Thanks Craig. I'm a DS developer (fairly new at that) and was asking the question on behalf of our technical support guys as they are having some trouble with this. I have run a job which tries to access a file on a different server using the following path: data1DataDeptPRISM TechETL - DataStageICL...

Server/UNC Question
We have a dedicated DataStage (using v6) production server and I was wondering if anyone can tell me how I can get DataStage to pick up files from another server referencing the file with a UNC rather than a mapped drive.
Any help greatly appreciated as always.
Cheers

I have a similar problem in that I have the single input file and for every row on this input file I need to write 6 rows to an output file. These output rows are the same total length, but with different record layouts. I have played around with various possibilities, none of which work. Any assist...
