Our DBA increased the number of concurrent connections from datastage to database 100 to 200. That solved the problem. So I am marking this post as resolved.

it should be easy for your DBA to find out the difference between dev and test box. Involve him. Your question is very vague. If you want to know either SCD stage supports both type 1 and type 2, then the answer is yes.

If you define schema at User defined variable section in DataStage Admin, schema will become $schema.

Ray, I used TO_CHAR function in Oracle Enterprise stage successfully. Though TO_CHAR is not a datastage function, we can safely use it in Oracle Enterprise Stage.

The most expensive part of the sort stage is storing data into memory space. Once all data is in the memory space, sorting operation does not take that much time compared...

I don't think so. Unless you need case-insensitive, you may keep that option.

This is happening because you are trying to load null value in primary key column field. You have to either remove the those null value rows or change that primary key constraint and made that field nullable.
