Parameter set Values file in scheduled jobs

I added two additional parameters to an existing parameter set that was linked to some scheduled jobs. I believe that I first tried the "Reschedule a job" option but some of the individual parameter values were not set correctly in the schedules. Next, I used the "Unschedule a job&quo...

Xmeta Database Tuning

We are running Datastage 8.1 on a Windows server and using SQL Server 2005 as the Xmeta database. Our DBA notified me that our Xmeta database has reached a 100GB. As a general rule, all of our Datastage jobs are set to auto-purge after 14 days in Administrator, so the Xmeta logs should not continue ...

Re: Importing Routines Datastage 8.1

Guess again. I am having the same problem with Datastage 8.1 on Windows 2003. No routines will import in either DSX or XML format. IBM states that this is a known bug listed as APAR JR31756. The link with the details are under http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1JR31756 The notes say ...

We use Parameters in Dos commands all of the time. However we use the ExecDOS Routine. The routine is found in the Built-in\Before/After folder . Enter your DOS command as follows "COPY /Y " FILEPATH : FILENAME " C:\TEMP\X.DAT" Wrap the DOS part of the command in double quotes. U...

SQL Server 2005 usinng Bulk Loader

I am trying to use the SQL Bulk Loader stage on a SQL 2005 Server with multiple instances. In SQL Server Management Studio, I need to connect with SERVER\INSTANCE. I have tried only the Server name and the Server\Instance name in the bulk loader stage, but neither works. Do I need a SQL Alias on my ...
