Hi All, I will be attempting to do the Datastage install on a Redahat 4.0 server. I will need to access the server remotley as it's not phsyically in our building. Yes, Files DataStage will read and write. We plan on having a datastructure similar to this:

/Data/DataStage/ProjectName/Source
/Data/DataStage/ProjectName/Target

Etc...

DataStage Server configuration

Hi All, we are installing DataStage 7.5.2 on a Linux Server (OS Redhat). We are thinking of using the same server to store intermediate/Perm data files. Is it better to store the data on a separate server (Maybe a windows file server?) It's basically a Windows shop with just DataStage on a Linux box...

DataStage security is set-up in DataStage Adminstrator (Permissions tab) where you would define a usergroup to DataStage Developer profile.

You need Visual Studio 2003 C compiler. Also keep in mind that Windows XP is not a supported OS for DataStage Server.

Version Control and Scheduler

Hi All, can someone reccomend Version control software which has a direct plugin to DataStage? The DataStage server will be running Linux RedHat Ver 4 or 5. We are also looking for a Job Scheduler if someone can reccomend one.
