Timestamp
Hi. Can you be more specific please? What are you trying to do? And where are you seeing the errors? Also, if you're experiencing problems with a database, please list the version of the db.
Thanks,
BP

surrogate key for a hash table
DS 6.0r2
Server : Sun Solaris
Client : XP
I'm inserting rows into a hash table. The table has a surrogate key. Is there an easy way to implement the surrogate key? Perhaps using something like a Serial column for the key, etc?
Thanks,
bp

Well, could you enter today's date into a parameter and check against it? Or perhaps you can enter today's date into an environment var? Also, there's an APT function called today() that assigns the System Date to a field that is an APT_Date. You can use this function in the PX buildop stage. There'...

I was having the same problem as Luca, in using DSJ.ME for the current stage name. It just wasn't working, even though the Ascl BASIC guide says it should. Anywho, I wrote a similar routine to capture the # rows going into and out of a transform stage. I *thought* I could use the routine in the 'bef...

Has anyone been able to successfully call a stored proc from within the DB2 stage? My java stored procedure is a simple count(*) on a table. My call, which works find from the db2 commandline, has been: Call Get_Count(?) I've tried several variations on this call in the 'Before' routine and in the '...

Thanks for the input. We solved the problem by padding the occurs field with spaces until the field was the size of MAX_NUM_OCCURENCES * LENGTH OF FIELD. Then we sent the padded file thru the CFF stage, and we get the table with a lot of NULLs in the occurs field. Oh well.. It seems like ASCL should...
