Does DS uses 2 processors on the same machine ?

Does DS uses 2 processors on the same machine ?

I have a win 2000 server with 2 processors on borad. Was just wondering when I run the jobs does DS server uses the second processor or not ?

Can you post the syntax error for: Also, i tried to use linkname.REJECTED in the constraint for the second reject table link, but it seems this is not available in parallel jobs, though the manual says i can use it. I am getting a syntax error when i use it.. though I may not be able help U much ..

Do you need the row number or a number that has to be generated for Surrogate key which is unique every time you run this job and insert data into DW.

for the latter: keyMgtGetNextValue('<key>') shld be used.

Are you sure about it? Did u try it in a Paralell job?

I don't have access to PX. but I assume that won't be the case even in Parallel jobs as it totally beats the concept of DS and DW..

I think u might be using DSBASIC transformer instead of regual Transformer. Check it once more

Craig, Let me rephrase my question, since I got a better idea what I am looking for this morning. :lol: What is the name of actual driver file to make a connection to Oracle using OCI stage? Is it named as : 'SQORA32.dll' ? Did I make my-self clear this time atleast? :roll: thanks for ur patience.

I was just asking what is the driver name would be used to connect from DS machine to Oracle. my versions are: Oracle 8i and DS 7.0, OS: Win 2000 Server. No Teej. U didn't confuse me. That is a perfect answer, I am looking for. One last question(may be I think so :D What is the client GUI interface for PX ? Is it DataStage client Designer itself for developing the jobs and, Are DS Director, Manager also used here. I am assuming that DS Administrator ...
