On how many columns are you sorting the data in Sort specifications. This does matter.
Did you change any default settings in Sort stage like: "Maximum number of rows in Virtual Memory" ?

Sonia,
What else are you doing in this job and how many number of rows are being processed by this stage for 1-2 minutes of time you mentioned ?

That means we have take their classes. But people who have enough experience and did successfully deploy some projects before with no formal training from Ascential. I learned it by moving from one group to another one which is doing DW and that was first project and transition in DW and DS. Well le...

Re: key management
How can I determine what the next value assigned will be? It will start from 1 and go on. How can I reset values? use the following in your before-job subroutine UPDATE SDKSequences USING DICT VOC SET F1 = '1' WHERE @ID = 'yournumber'; Where is the sequence stored? Stored in DS Universe Hash file A...

Re: Which is more efficient Hash Tables or OCI lookups
This is a very wide open question. So many issues have been posted on this forum. You can do a search on that. In short give the assumption that you have Oracle and DS on different machines across the network, take it that Hash-file look ups are much faster and they are re-usable in different jobs. ...

Re: DSSETPARAM
I don't think you can use DSSETPARAM within the job. I think they are one of the first things that are executed when the job is started.
Look on of Ray's postings where he mentioned the Order of execution of variables in the job.

For example, to check for Ok or Warnings in one link, put this in the Trigger: StageName.$JobStatus = 1 Or StageName.$JobStatus = 2 Mix and match as you n...
