XML File Reads

Hi, I am looking to read an XML file and convert it to a sequential flat file. I presume this is possible using the XML input/output/tranform stages. And am currently working to achieve this. Just to save me the time, if it is not possible, could some one let me know please? Any tips or hints would ...

File Pattern and File Order

Hi, I am using the File Pattern attribute in a sequential file stage to read a number of files. the files all have the same metadata. the file titles are all of the format FileName.Date.time, where the FileName is common. The files are being read, but not in any particular order. Obviously, I want t...

String to timestamp conversion

Hi, I am constructing a timestamp from two input fields, inp_date and inp_time, and from a literal of '00'. by way of manipulation i am populating a stage variable, DateRed, with the time stamp in the format %yyyy-%mm-%dd %hh:%nn:%ss.6. an exapmle of the string would be 2008-05-01 21:21:305600. so i...

thanks for coming back on this.

I am in the same position, mainly using this for xml messages.
I just noticed this when playing around and was trying to find an explanation.

Mq Connector Stage Column Output

Hi, I am using a Mq Connector Stage to pass data to a queue. the connection is working fine and i am getting data on the queue. the problem is that i have 3 columns going into the Mq connector stage but only one is appearing on the MQ itself. Don't know if it is coincidental or not, but i am collect...

thanks for that, i will look into that straight away.
Could i ask one further question, if i am using a file pattern to read in the file, is there any way to pass out the file name to the unix command, or am i really over complicating the issue at this point?

Thanks again,

Display User Parameters in the job log

Hi,

I'm pretty sure this is an easy one and just a matter of knowing which environmental variable to turn on or off.

I want to be able to show job parameters in the log file. Can you tell me how to do this please?

Regards,
John Fitz
