the environmental varialble is pointing to a directory where the source is data file is placed now the source data file is in another directory.... so which environmental variable shoould i be changing inorder to make that change this Environmental varaible is only for a this particular job thanks a...

Sorry But I could not understand much out of what you said... if we go to job parameters in job properties.... we have an add environmental variable button where in we have all the general, customised, parallel, user defined one.... so which one of those environmental varialbles i should be changing...

Source is spreadsheet in a sequential file there are 6 tabs in one single spreadshheet two tabs are joined as one in a sequential file ... like that 3sequential files are made.. these 3 seq files are joined using join stage and then written to a sequential file ..... I just drag the respective columns from source to target.... varchar in source to Nvarchar in target got changed automatically... no complilation errors But when i run the data is getting processed... and one morething is when i right click the transformer i cannot see the target link name that is p...

Yes... Before i had erros while compiling saying Implicit conversion from string to Ustring... and so... but now there no errors... the target is the table in SQL Server and the source is Spread sheet in Sequential file the data is not getting processed from source to target... i can view the data i...

HI the columns are not propagating ... everything seems to be OK.... other than datatype mismatch... where in source has varchar(255) and target has Nvarchar(50) please can any one let me know this and if it is the problem then what fuction should i be using to convert varchar to Nvarchar ? or where...

Sorry I dint mean to say its urgent though it is... it was by accident i had attached the signature that i wrote for the first time... If in source file..... abc varchar 255 target table ........ abc Nvarchar 50 Now how do I link one to the other by converting source datatype and its length into tar...
