Hi Ray,

Sorry for disturbing u,,,I am not premium member could you please let me know the solution for this.

My assumption is using the copy stage we can rename the Main link key column such as same as Lookup key column name. Can i go with this approach.

Thanks,

Hi ArndW,

Small doubt...sorry for jumping in

If lookup file set can be created even with .fs or .ds suffix then what is the diff btw the two files. I know that .ds is the operating system file, so .fs also the operating system file?

Thanks,

Loopup Using Lookup file set

Hi All, Should the key column of Loopup file set and the main input be same? I am having a column called Cust_Id Varchar(10) as the key in Main Link. In Lookup file set am having the Key column as DOC_Id Varchar(10) . Am not able to loopup with these as the key columns If the key column name is diff...

Hi Ray,

Sorry, I dint answer to your question correctly,

If we have a reject link, then it is not giving any issues for
rejected mode = output.

Hopefully all the rejects coming out of Col Import stage would get into the reject link.

Thanks,

Hi Ray, If we set Rejected Mode =Output then we need to keep a Reject file for that Reject Output. If we dont have reject file but the Mode set as Rejected Mode=Output then it shows the error messages as... "Column_Import_1: The number of attached output data sets (1) differs from APT_Operator:...

Hi All,

I too faced the same issue as below, and found out the mistake.
this problem is due to keeping the Rejected Mode = Output and not giving any reject link. If we keep Reject Mode = Continue, We wont be getting this issue.

Thanks,

Evironmental Variable in DS Transformer

Hi All, I am mapping the enviromental variable in the field derivation for a output column in the transformer. while compiling it gives some long error message. But the same env variable used in seq file stage working fine. I have declared this variable in my job parameter and given the default as $...

How to get the rejected records in 8x

Hi All, In Server jobs, we can take the rejected records by using the reject row option in transformer or using O/pLink.REJECTEDCODE<>0. My job flow is: Seq file---->Transformer---->Db2 Database Simillarly in 8x, how can we take the rejected records from the target. We have a option called Otherwise...

Problem with \307 delimiter

Hi All, The Delimiter for my input file is \307 (resembles like A^). When i run the job through unix script with that delimiter the job fails with "the delimiter for the field is not found for the column 1" The same job is running fine if i runs with datastage. Also I tried replacing the \...

Job Not running while calling from Unix

Hi All, I resolved this issue in this way, Seqfile--->Transformer--->Output File | | Peak Stage I set the stage variable for the IF condition fail=0 , pass=1. In constratint Stagevar=1 then passed the Input to the output In Peek stage constraint I kept Stagevar=0 and abort after rows 1. Also in peek...

HI Swapnilverma, Thanks, Whatever you said, will definitely work out to abort the job whenever the condition fails. But in addition to this, i have a other requiremnt. The log message for the job abort should include my comments too. For my case , the log info should include "("Bank Accoun...

HI ArndW, Thanks ArndW for your view. If I put a separate link with "abort after" 1 row in transformer stage. It will abort the job after a row is passed, whatever the derivation may be. Correct me if I am wrong. But for my case, I have a o/p schema having 4 cols, In it one of the col have...

Aborting the Job With Message

Hi All,

I have to abort the job, whenever the IF condition Fails.

Eg:

If(Len(IN.Col) <= 15)
IN.Col
else
Abort the job with message("Bank Account ID is defined as decimal(15)");
end;

Please let me know, how to achieve this.

Thanks,

SenthilP
