Why not? we will be doing rank based on a certain column value.
why cant we have one stage which takes this column values in cache sort it and assign ranks and release in the data streams,
I Apologize if have said anything wrong technically and please correct me if i have said anything wrong.

Yes i got it Ray, But what is there is a requirement for me to populate one of the columns in the table with Ranks?
Bcos i see here we have many many stages which are doing similar operations. why didnt IBm make one stage for ranking.

You can do this by defining stage variables which will look for the change in the first column and one stage variables which will value as you have mentioned.

Where you are using a Copy stage with a single input and a single output, you should ensure that you set the Force property in the stage editor TRUE. This prevents WebSphere DataStage from deciding that the Copy operation is superfluous and optimizing it out of the job.

In the Admin clients, you have ADD, REMOVE etc tabs below that you have NLS tab there you can set the value.

Full Refresh

For Temp Table Use Full Refresh, Write a small script to truncate the temp tables, and run the full refresh job, configure all this in a sequence.

For Upsert user Upsert Mode in oracle EE stage target.

i think it should be very simple jobs.
