Ernie No there is no column(ID) like that required, all they are looking for is the Tag should have those <measure-group ID="X"> </measure-group> when defining the tag on a particular column there is only one way of doing it, how i can get it as above. right now i am getting <measure-group...

xml formatting

Hi Folks,

Can anyone tell me how do i define a Tag which would start and end in this way? Also it would be useful if i understand what it means :)

aah right...! got that seems to be fine now.

I am cross checking with the requirement template. there i have a tag called as <measure-group ID="X">, what does this mean? can i define an xpath for MID(key column) using the above?

Hi Ernie,

I can do that, what about the output file...i need the output in xml format only.

after tranformer i can load it into one more xml with just one column,
it will make things right?

let me know, in the mean time i will be implenting.

Some data elements in my xml out file is getting repeated for all the columns, my requirement is it should appear only once in the beginning followed by all the rows from the DB source. if i am not wrong, you should expose your job as web service and pass the parameters and call the webservice from the external application.
