Scheduled Jobs showing as 'Not Scheduled'
I scheduled a job using the director - yet it still says 'not scheduled' This is an issue for a few reasons, obviously - if I want to reschedule - I can't - I can schedule it for the time I want - but it will still run at the other time and because it says it is not scheduled - I can't cancel the or...

No problem - below is what I would want the output to look like. Basically I want to keep the row with the highest number in COL4 for each group of data. Does that help? I was trying to sort and remove duplicates, but it just wasn't working, at least not the way I did it! Col1 Col2 Col3 Col4 12345 0...

Data sorting question
Hellooo. Below is the the data I am looking at. I need to keep the row with the highest value in Col4 for each group of data. What is the best way to do this? When I use the sort descending and then remove dups and keep the first row, it sorts all of the numbers so that in Col4 it would be all of th...

That's excellent to hear! Thank you for your input. I will stress to my admins that they should install the fix asap. I haven't heard back from them, but I know that they were going to do this. Thanks so much for everyone's input :) And yes, we are using 8.01 - but soon to have 8.1 installed - looki...

Ok, we are still using 8.0 but are supposed to be upgrading soon. I'll try to get the patches installed asap and see if that works. If it doesn't, i'll come back to you guys :) Which 8.x version do you have? Unless it's 8.1 then you do need a bunch of patches to get everything working and 8.1 probab...

I'm sorry - actually it's called DBParams - not DSParams - but still when I used it it gave me the invalid argument value - my DS admin said that there might be some patches we may need to install - she is looking into it. Could that be an issue? Or do you think this should be working? Have there be...

I am using the DB2 UDB stage and I am just trying to set the 'Server name' - eventually we want to include the username and password, but decided to just see if we could get the Server Name to access the parameter set and access the actual value in the user defined environment variables by using $PR...

Using $PROFDEF as default value in Parameter Set
When attempting to access a parameter set, I continue to receive the error message 'Invalid argument value. SQLSTATE=HY009 DSTAGE-DB2CLI-0005`:`Unable to connect to DB2 server '#DBParams.WCS_DB# It seems that even if I enter the actual value in the default value - I am still getting this error - so ...

Re: Deploy a DS Job as a Web Service
It seems that I have to give up..even when the admin logged in, most was greyed-out, such as 'New Project' and 'Develop'. It seems we have the tool, but something is missing. Is it possible it is a configuration issue? Nicole, Another way to find out if your company is properly license to used Infor...

Re: Deploy a DS Job as a Web Service
Thanks Julio. I really do think we have the licenses. When I click on Help=>About IBM Information Server Console => It lists 'Information Analyzer', 'Information Server Console', 'Common Services', AND 'Information Services Director 8.0.1.0'. So, why would it list this if we didn't have it. I just d...

Re: Deploy a DS Job as a Web Service
Thanks. I went to the web console and the only thing under 'Domain Management' is 'DataStage Credentials' and it gives me the option to enter the credential to use when connecting to DataStage. hmm... but from what I told you, you think it sounds like we SHOULD have the ability to deploy a DS job as...

Deploy a DS Job as a Web Service
Hi everyone. When I open the IS Console. The 'New Project' is greyed-out. Some are telling me that in order to expose a DS job as a web service, that there are additional purchases we need to make. How can I confirm that this is true? What should I see or not see. When in the Designer, I can see tha...

We spoke to an IBM DataStage guy...supposedly a guru :) and he tried to explain a way to do this... He said if we supply the transformer with an input link from DB2 stage and input link from a sequential file with the rows of keys, the transformer stage would recognize the DB2 stage as a lookup usin...
