How do I use the data(Column value) as part of file name? This is XML output stage, we are creating an output for each row in the source data, not sure how to add account # as part of the file name. Any thoughts please.

We are working with the Russian data that is converted to Cyrillic charecter, how to convert it back(Russian)? I am not sure how the data was converted to Cyrillic. If we can do it in datastage that is well and good, can this be done in Unix?

How do I call unix command from transformer? For example how to call command 'uuencode' from transformer./

I am using output mode as "single row", how do I add contract #, it is a filed in the XML file as part of the file. for example, I am creating xml file for account # 123, I need file xml file name something like acct-123.xml

Good Idea! I will try it on Monday and update you all. I also had little bit of problem using external stage, I am new to this new environment.

Guys, My problem here got little more complicated, now we need to encoded only data in the XML leaving header information in XML not encoded.

I need to read a falt file, create a XML file and XML File should be encoded to base64 before sending out/ftp.

Please let me know how we do this in datastage? even if you have done anyother encodeing(other than base64) please let me know tooo.
