I am not getting a matched data as there is no data coming from hash file  Important thing to note is that if a lookup is not found, then you will not get any rows from Hashed file stage. It doesn't matter if there are values in the file. That is the reason why you are not seeing any r...

As I noted here earlier, this is most likely an issue with some key field having an extra space or something like that. Please check that...

It indicates that there were no rows were found during the lookup. Check the key values and trim unnecessary spaces accordingly.

Thanks Kishore and Craig for your posts. There are not a large number of users using DataStage here. We are a team of 8, out of which DataStage is very seldom used by 2 of them. So, mostly 6 people will be using DataStage. When this issue is happening, none of them were online. It is when we tried t...

Connectivity issues...may be...I can think of a scenario (logging from home networks) why. Let me make sure about that with people.

This is great input Craig. Thanks...

I did not know there was a difference and I was assuming the same. But, my boss says that the latter is a graceful exit and hitting the red "X" is not. He was so confident in this that he sent out an e-mail notification to the whole team to do the "Project/Exit" way of exiting. T...

Why not "orchadmin delete" the descriptor file which you are sure about. Normally we would do that. However, there are these files sitting from 2 years ago. I see the same file (of course, the extended name - some Hex things appended to the data set name - is different) again for later da...

:?: Question: Would it make a difference if we close the director/designer instances by clicking the red "X" mark on the window versus closing them using "Project>Exit"? Which will be a cleaner exit, if there is a difference?

I apologize if it sounds dumb... :)

Ahh...thanks. I had a feeling that my theory about the licenses is wrong. The problem that needs to be fixed is, why is it leaving so many of those "dsapi slave" processes there. I am hoping that the "dsdlockd" will fix that. I cannot enable that right away, unfortunately. Thanks...

This problem re-surfaced today again. I was looking at the processes and I see old "dsapi slave" connections still lying around. I terminated the processes spawned by our generic log-in and then tried to log-in again and I was able to do that successfully. This makes me suspect that DataSt...

Compare the date on the descriptors to the date on the data files in your resource locations and clean up the ones where the dates don't match. Thanks for your response. I am not sure if somebody deleted that descriptor file as I am relatively new at this place. Ever since I got here though, none o...

The descriptor is stored in folder specified in dataset stage property (project directory if no folder specified) and datafiles are stored in Resource disk specified in configuration file. Right on. The Resource disk is a permanent storage for the data set data file. However, as the discussion is g...

To the OP (dsguyok): Did you resolve this problem? If so, could you please post what steps you have taken? I am encountering the same exact problem. All our mart jobs are in a couple of projects and warehouse jobs are in a couple of projects. When I execute the following command for each of the proj...
