In Datastage Manager, Tools -> Data Set Management, you can select the dataset you want to remove and just delete it.

I was looking for the methodology where in when in a retail store dimensional data of various offers is managed. if at a particular time if all the offers are finished and there exists no offer then can we go ahead and close the end date? is there any side effects to do so?

simply close the datastage designer and open that job and complile it,
it will works fine.
