I have a big list of jobs that should be deleted from datastage projects I don't want to drop the project and rebuild with just the jobs i need Instead i want to delete jobs by using command line via script. Hi in a BASIC routine,
i can use the FIELD function to extract a substring from a string based on delimiters and instances

How can i check if a string S1 is a substring of S2 or not? The substring can occur at any part of S1

dsjob -logdetail doesn't return all lines

Hi, we have DS Server 7.5.2 running on HP-UX 11.11 When i run the following command dsjob -logdetail $PRJNM $JOBNM $EVENT it returns only 23 lines for that event but when i open the same project and job using ds director, i find 133 lines for the same event. i can get stages of a server job by using the command
dsjob -lstages <project> <ds server jobname>

How can i get the list of 'Job Activity's in a sequencer job by using a unix command (dsjob)

Hi,
now i know where it went wrong.
While the command line had hostname 'APHP1002', the referenced dstage logon find had 'APHP10023' in it.

When the logon file was updated to use the shorter name too, the dsjob command worked.
