Hi all,

I had same problem with version control and after moving specified hash files I see jobs in version control now.I didn't update any entries to the voc file for these hash files.So is that fine or do I get any problems in production after promoting the jobs.

Thanks for your quick response.Is there any other way to do it rather than manually saving the definitions and then exporting it.
I want only columname and datatype from the definition.Should I take them from the exported table definition file?

Hi,

We have jobs where metadata is not saved for file or table definitions.
Now I want to export the attributes with datatypes defined in files or tables.
Please let me know if Im not clear in explaining this.

If there is a datastage server job which has made use of universe (localuv ) table (usage : as insert and updates ) and if i am upgrading from 7.5.3 to 8.x will this job design work. will 8.x server job support localuv

Renaming of the job in my project is taking long time.. project has approx

4500 Jobs. If any one can give me some solution to tune the project.

so the rename and deletion of the jobs are faster in my project

I have a job which use universe hashed file. for which i create pointer.

now for each incremental load a new pointer is created in VOC.

will it create problem in future. is there any limit , like more pointer created for each load will currupt VOC

I have datstage installation server version 7.5.1A now i am planning to Upgradation to server version 7.5.3 applying a patch, can anyone say what will be the impact on jobs since i have the jobs develped in 7.5.1A which is in production.
