Access violation
Hola, amigos mios del forum ..... I am getting an "Access violation" error when running a job. This job is accessing a table from SAP, using the SAP plugin. This is weird for me, because from the DS designer I can view the records from the table, and I can filter them. But when I run the j...

Trying to attach an AS/400 shared folder
Hola, mis amigos.... I'm trying to make a "net use m: \\......." for an AS/400 shared folder. This is from within a batch job. The first time that I run the command, it works fine. The second time I run the command, the error 85 appears, saying that the network drive is already in use. So,...

Compiling in DS 7.5
Hola, mis amigos......
I need to know how can I compile in DS 7.5.
For my understanding, I can trigger a .bat file and include in it all the compilation instructions for compiling the desired jobs.
Any help, will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Lost user when calling a .bat file
Hi, forumers...... From within a DS job I am invoking a .bat file by means of the DSExecute command. The .bat file works with a directory of the net. It checks if the directory exists, creates it, and copies some files into the directory of the net. The .bat file is failing when it is executing. The...

Retrieving the ascii number for characters
Hola mis amigos....
I couldn't find any function to retrieve the ASCII number for a given character. I mean, given the "A" letter, I want the function to return me the 65 value (working with the ASCII table).
What is the name of this function ?
Thanks in advance.

De-encrypting parameters
Hola mis amigos. I need to know how to de-encrypt some parameters that are defined as encrypted. I mean, I want to make a call to DSLogInfo function for the value of the parameters to be sure that I'm receiving the correct value. Is there any function or any way to see the value of an encrypted fiel...

Pointing to Z_RFC_DS_SERVICE function
Hi. Making the migration from DS 5.2 to DS 7.5, I found that I have to update a SAP function: Z_RFC_DS_SERVICE . My question is: why this name ? Can be another name ? Can I set, somewhere in the DS-administration tool, the name of the function to be called when performing a SAP connection ? Thanks i...

Updating Z_RFC_DS_SERVICE function
Hi forumers..... The Z_RFC_DS_SERVICE is a SAP function and it is used for making the connection between DS and SAP. As we are making tests to migrate from 5.2 to 7.5, we need to update this function inside SAP environment. I have three questions :?: :?: :?: 1) If we update the function, can we make...
