i guess you can always try to clear the status file. that should do the job most of the times. or the best turn around would be to rename that job, make a copy and rename the copy to its original name...this saves time when you are actually waiting for the job to be developed to proceed ahead on tha...

you can use a execute command stage after the job that loads the data from DB into your file and then to call your .sh along with respective parameters.
