Hi...

I still don't know how it the aggregator works from hashed file to hashed file. Instead, I use a DB table as destiny and it worked fine.

Also, I used the same ammount of columns in the first hashed file that are going to be sumarized or grouped by.

Thanks!!!!

no sumarized records using Aggregator

Hi, I'm using this: hashed file --> Aggregator --> hashed file In the first hashed file, I'm having 11 columns, 10 of them are keys. In the second one is the same but with 8 keys. When I sumarize using aggregator, it gives me the same ammount on both hashed files. The hashed files characteristics ar...

Thank you Ray, It appears that version 8 doesn't use the PREVDTD field at all, I deleted a job and then created with the same name and the result of looking up that name in the INSTANCE field returned a "created on" this day, but nothing in the "Last deleted on". Is there another...

Missing Folder

Hi, We have a missing job folder in the project, I don't if somebody accidentally deleted it or if the information is still in the server and we it doesn't appear in the Director (I'm guessing here). We are having several performance problems with the entire project, the security deparment told us t...

Thanks chulett, unfortunately I can't see what suggestions you have because of the Premium Content. How I can turnaround this issue?, I'm thinking using several hashed files on different jobs. Is this logical?

blink error not in log

Hi all, I'm trying to write a hashed file with 123 millions from DB2. At some point, I have the error: Program "DSD.StageRun": Line 631, Internal data error. File '/opt/IBM/software/DataStage/InformationServer/DS_HASH/HASH/DATA.30': Computed blink of 0x870 does not match expected blink of ...

Using ODBC Paradox Driver

Hi, I'm trying to use a Paradox (.db) table, but when I try to export the metadata definition in DS Manager, the ODBC shows this error: DSR.MetaGeta(GET.COLUMNS)(SQLStatistics("","","cam_0703")): BCI Error: SQLSTATE=S1000,CODE=-5015,[DataStage][SQL Client][ODBC][Microso...

Thanks for the advice, I trimmed (never used it as a verb before) all the joins and the group by function in oracle and it worked fine. I thought it was an issue about a corrupt file or something like that...

Error on hash files

Hi, I'm trying to use two hashed files in a transformer job. Hash File 1 (the main row operation) has exactly the keys as Hash File 2. In fact, I created Hash File 2 from Hash File 1 in another job. The only difference I see is that Hash File 1 is downloaded in an Oracle Table. I made a group by and...

Cursor function in DS

Hi, I want to search for previous rows in a table and make comparisons between them, can I do it in DS??? To explain it better, I have this table: date, executive, account, value I need to know if any of the values from one year behind the date in the row is above 1000. I know I can get it around us...

I tried to put it as a variable in the transformer stage instead of using the expression in the convert derivation area. know the mistake is -7, I don't have access to the unix server (only by DS, not interface). If I cannot use it before the sequential file link is finished, I have to use a maxcoun...

Using DSJ.LINKROW

Hi, I'm using the expression DSGetLinkInfo (handleJob, StageName2, LinkName2, DSJ.LINKROWCOUNT) to create new keys for a table, but I need to know how many rows has the original file. The original file (a sequential file) has 13276 rows but the result of the Getlinkinfo column is always -6. This mea...

The datatype in the hash(ed) :P file is an integer, I have to use the integer type because that's the type of the date in this company. The source data is always the format I wrote. The day and the month are always in 2 digits format, and the year in 4 digits format. I tried to use the digits format...
