Hi, My requirement is to generate .txt files from a table. i am using a oracle, transformer and Seq file stage. we have few columns which are decimal and varchar and are nullable. while writing many of the records are dropped for handling the null values. please let me know how handle nulls?? Hi,
I am transfering the file from ETL Unix Server to another Application Server. can i give the permission to the transfered file as rwxrwx-r (i.e/ 755 or file should have write permission to owner as well as to the group which owner belongs?

My assumption was that it is already tab delimited, thus you could send it as a long string and it would preserve those delimiters. Is that not the case? If not, command line ftp won't h ... Try reading (and transferring) it as one long varchar field. Either that or there's always command line ftp. ... Earlier i also thought of reading as long varchar, but the file should be a tab delimeted at the target server. so if i read it as long varchar as one field i cant format individual valu...
