how to call stored procedures

Hello! I was searching for topics related to calling stored procedures. But it's still confusing for me to do the suggestions that I read, maybe because I'm still using DataStage 5.2. How do I create the job? I know that there is a 'store procedure' option in the ODBC stage. After specifying the pro...

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the patience, ArndW and Craig. :) I got back to the usual 'deletion' procedure and ran the job. /<project>: ls -l HHH total 324 drwxrwxr-x 2 myuserid mygroup 512 Oct 26 10:01 ./ drwxrwxr-x 1779 myuserid mygroup 39936 Oct 26 10:01 ../ -rw-rw-r-- 1 myuserid mygroup...

Thanks, Craig, ArndW! I'm happy you two are around. :D Yes, ArndW, I did that. But hoping to get a different answer (something like deleting file without manual intervention), I posted the usual error when re-running the job right after executing the DELETE VOC command. Ok, having deleted everything...

Sheesh.. I wish I could see your full message.. But, I do appreciate your help. :D Back to my problem, I tried executing your DELETE VOC HHH, and deleted the entry. However, I got another error message. DSD.UVOpen An operating system file already exists with the name "D_HHH". File n...

Thanks, ArndW. :) Actually, the (delete from VOC where NAME = 'HHH' ) worked. I ran the job (and I assume it created again the entry in the VOC) and it finished successfully. But right after that, I re-ran the job, the error again occurred. It seems to me that I have to do this process (deleting the...

Sorry, my bad. :D

Here was the error message:

DSD.UVOpen Unable to DELETE file "HHH".
"HHH" is already in your VOC file as a file definition record.
File name =
File not created.

Thanks for replying. :)

Problem with deleting hashed files

Good day! :D I have a simple job that inserts data into 'HHH' hashed file. I have enabled the 'delete file before create' option. For the initial run, the job was successful. Yet, when I re-ran it (using the same id), it aborted since it could not delete the hashed file. I tried deleting the file in...

Hello! We tried including $ORACLE_HOME/lib32 in our shared path library. I also tried using 9i client. The same problem persisted. Fortunately, our DBA found the true cause of error. To quote him: "I adjusted the value of the ArraySize parameter from 16777216 to a lower value in .odbc.ini . I'm...

Ok, I'll coordinate with our DBA and tell him your suggestion. I'll get back as soon as the cause of the problem becomes clearer (or if another problem comes out ).

Thanks chulett! :D

Thanks for replying! :D

Yes. I'm actually using DataStage 5.2 and Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0 - 64bit.

The error occurs when I View Data in the ODBC stage. :(

DSD.Browse Error

Good day! I tried to view data in Oracle 10g, and got the error message 'Error calling subroutine: DSD.Browse (Action=3); check DataStage is set up correctly in project XXXXX'. I tried to run DS.REINDEX via the Administrator, and I think it was successful since it reindexed all tables. However, I st...

Thanks a lot, Ray! :D

But, I still have to be a premium member first before I can read the content of your 'premium' message. :)
I'll give you a feedback once I have tried your suggestions.
Good day!
