 You can also have 70 links coming out of a single transformer if you need to implement 70 different type of hard coding and to be sent to 70 different XML files. I can't think of a scenario for these simple transformation which you cannot do in a single transformer. You may have to use neste...

depends on how you want it to behave. By default Null will not be matched to another null in different table. For the basic reason that two unknown cannot be the same, there are chances but cannot be guaranteed. However if you want to handle it explicitly, you can do that.

However I prefer to separate deletes with inserts and get it done as two separate steps.

one question, If you need to connect to oracle, why not use a oracle connector instead?

What happened when you ran that job on one node?

hash partition on CERTIFICATE_TEMPLATE_ID. This will ensure all the 50 records for CERTIFICATE_TEMPLATE_ID=449 in the same partition.

However it can only be guaranteed when all 50 records go as same transaction, so you may have to set the transaction size or basically the commit interval to 0.

I second the thought of having single concatanated field for key. You can even have the key field location or start end position parameterized.

Do you have a DB2 client installed on server 2 (engine)? I installed on Server 1 as repository is there in DB2 database created during installation. But did you install a client on Server 2 where engine resides?

on second thought ask DB2 admin if the listener goes down intermittently or if there are any connctivity issues between the servers or if you are hitting the connection limits.
