No ArndW. You did not make any point out there but instead, asked me to check the range of possibilities on using uvbackup/uvrestore method by raising two questions regarding Shared Containers. And for that, i replied to you with pleasure. Shall i ask you one question - Did you see the contents(espe...

Can you please let me know how this would be the cause of the error, if it happened to be in a particular Job.

Let getting the maximum value from the table be in the first Job and USERSTATUS will be useful in passing that value to next Job as Job parameter.

Searching "UserStatus" will give you more ideas of it.

with respect to (1) I meant that it doesn't include the repository itself, which isn't that small anymore but at least doesn't grow in size much. As per your say, it does not include repository itself, What it does include, then? I feel that you missed to say that. Could you please complete this or...

As noted, you cannot use a routine in a trigger expression. The ellipsis 'picker' thingy may let you pick one but they cannot be used there.
Chulett - Any reason behind for it has been like that?

I have a few questions:

1. What you do mean by "Most of the disk space" here? Are you meaning the Job runtime files?

2. Can we derive a same statement for parallel Job as well.

Please educate me.

Any Shared Container which the Job uses, can be backed up and restored with the Job from the recent back up file if we know Job No, Container No and Record IDs of that Job Design in DS_JOBOBJECTS and Container's Job Design in DS_JOBOBJECTS.

And after you finish thinking about Ray's questions, think about Parameter Sets and Shared Containers. Regarding Parameters Set, I have NOT tested all these commands in DataStage v8.0. But anyway in DS V7.5 all Shared Containers could be backed up and restored correctly as the Job Design informatio...

How, indeed, can you be certain that you have identified ALL the DS_JOBOBJECTS records for this job? Though you are not aware of the Job no of the deleted Job, when res...
