Is there enything that needs to be turned on inorder for when the jobs run to gather the meta data? Also you mention that...

Do warnings slow downs jobs?
Hi There, I have been running a few jobs couple of datasets one single join hashed and partitioned on key field. The key field in one DS is varchar 35 and the other is varchar 17. Without a transformer to trim and chage the varchar35 it takes an eternity and after the transofrmer is added it speeds ...

mcs@rajesh, No problem, We have a rows of data i.e. Start Date , End Date, value 1, value 2. I need to calculate the months between start and end date (which I think I have got through a transformer). I then need to duplicate this row based the number of months between the two dates. So if the diffe...

Can DataStage do this? is it possibe (if some one could point me in the right direction)? If not I guess it would be a case calculating the months difference in Da...

Thanks Ray, I may be asking a little too much but.... How would you implement if valueA is in (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) by fitlering reuslts in a filter stage or transformer, without writing... To_Transform.ValeA = '1' Or To_Transform.ValeA = '2' Or To_Transform.ValeA = '3' Or To_Transform.ValeA = '4' Or ...
