Project Permisions: DataStage Administration

Hi All! Is there an easy way to set DataStage Administration/Properties/Permissions to <None>? I am creating a project and all the listed groups have been given the permission DataStage Developer. A colleague of mine created a similar project with all as <None> (hes out of the office for a few days)...

View/Custom SQL errors out

Hi again, :) So, I'm trying to track down a "Abnormal termination of stage...transform detected". Did a reset...nothing. So, I go to try and view the data in the Oracle OCI8 stage. The first stage has custom sql (with variables) running against a view in Oracle. When I run View Data... I g...

ExecSH File not found (not permissions)

Hi all. :D We are migrating jobs over to a new 7.5 server. So far, everything works except our before and after scripts. The only thing I notice that is different between our 5.2.2 server (where these worked) and this one is that you have to put ./ before you can run anything. So, to run this from t...

Operating system is Sun Solaris (Unix was the only choice in my first post).

Where are the DSENV file and the $SHLIB_PATH file located?

Thanks for the responses. This server has been running successfully for 4 years. Apparently, this file got removed from Ora_Home/lib.

Oracle Library

Where does DataStage store oracle directory locations (ie home, lib, etc). I got the following error: ds_loadlibrary: error in dlopen of oraoci8.so - ld.so.1: uvsh: fatal: /oracle/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/lib/libclntsh.so: I/O error The file libclntsh.so is not in the 9.2.0 directory however there i...

Every job has one of these. Don't worry about them.
I have LOTS of these.

Is there a list anywhere on the board of files/directories to be routinely cleaned up? In your uvconfig file there is a temp directory configuration. There's also the "&PH&" directory in every project. During an operational downtime, maybe once a week, clear these directories. Tha...

One quick question: Is there a list anywhere on the board of files/directories to be routinely cleaned up? DS support mentioned core files and some &TEMP& directory (may have typed that wrong, but it had two &). I'm going to put something together to go out and remove them over the weeke...

From Unix level, try a 'file RT_CONFIGxxx' where xxx is the file number. If it returns a permission error, then it may be a file problem. As Ken suggested, check file file system and spaces. I do not think that will be a problem as otherwise all your jobs will be affected. Try to login as root or d...

Yes, I agree. We have NEVER had this problem. I do keep track of disk space (plus we are a large company who pay other groups to do that). These projects have been running since 2002 with no problem...so this is new. I think you're right though, the cleanest thing to do is to remove the project and ...

Something else odd. I was able to rename the errored job in manager (I cannot delete it in Manager or access it in Director). I was then able to move the backup job into the project. The new jobs has a description of "!!Error getting job status!!' I compiled it, and the Description changed back...
