get into datastage administrator and then go to project tab and select the project and click the command. Type the query and then execute.

Check at lookup place also, whether you have used trim, try left(trim(col.name)). I hope it will work.

normally the source file record count would not include the header and footer. If it is not include then do 7-5 else you can go ith 7 itself.

If your footer record count does not include the header record and footer record then wc-l output has to be subtracted with 2. as per you example the detail is 5 records only. if the footer has the record count as 5, wc-l will return 7, do 7-2=5.

when you are performing update or insert it may be success due to there is no change in the col7. when you are trying to insert record for the first time, that too your record is having NULL value, but in the table it is mentioned as non-nullable column, so how come a NULL value will be instered int...

Use job status to find out the job completed with warnings or not. then you use routine (DSSendMailTester) to send the mail.

why you are getting NULL, because the output link consider the date input as string and while writing it is trying to convert to DATE, fails to convert and NULL was passed to output. Can you check whether any ^M character in the EOR and check whether length and display are given correctly. still if ...

simple way to do this. export the job. have the parameter list in a file or in the variable of a script, in the same script look for the parameter are used in multiple places inside thejob or not. if the count is 1 then you are not using it. so that you remove that from your job.

If you have backup you can reterive the parallel job, otherwise I don't think it is possible. surprise to hear that parallel job was converted automatically to server job.
