Hello,

my job ended now OK. I had only changed my job to make overwrite of my 3 sequential files (then I execute a cat comand) and now it's OK.

I think it was as well as you said, that it was only "something internal happened". :)

Well, bye for now.

See you,

Hello, I have here this same problem in DataStage version 7.0.1. In my job, I removed all my OCI stages. This means, that now I just read and write sequential files (one of 2282660 lines for input and another one for ouput) with no transformer in the middle (my input file has 1,7 GB). Well, I am als...

OK folks, I solved my problem. My dsenv file hadn't the configuration necessary to link the libraries to Oracle. I added these lines in "dsenv" and restarted the DS Server: (...) export ORACLE_BASE=/opt/software/oracle/9i export ORACLE_HOME=$ORACLE_BASE/9.2.0 export TNS_ADMIN=$ORACLE_HOME/...

Hy, OK, I forgot to put these requirements. I have 2 Environments: Production and Development Projects (these projects are in different machines with HP-UX 11.0). All DataStage projects are in version 7.1. This weekend, the UNIX machines have some techincal operations (memory and processor upgrade)....

Thanks for the help,

it seems that the "copy and paste" operation will be possible if I upgrade to version 7. In version 6, I only can save the definition to the metadata and then drag this saved definition to the links, without opening the stages.

Thanks for the tips,

Copy Paste Definition Columns

Hello, I have a Table Definition in a job that needs to propagate for many stages all the flow of the job. However, someone told me that in DataStage Designer, I could do a simple operation "copy and paste" of the Input Definition to another Link (without opening the Stages). Does anyone k...

Thanks for the tip. I didn't realized that the "missing comma" was indeed a "missing parenthesis". Never mind. I added the parenthesis in the User Defined SQL and it works. However, instead of using the User Defined, there isn't a way of doing it with the option "Insert rows...

Insert data with TIMESTAMP field (ORAOCI9)

Hello there, I have DataStage v6.0 and a table named TABLE1 with FIELD1 TIMESTAMP(6) with Oracle 9i. In Sqlplus, I can execute this query successfully: insert into table1 (field1) values (TIMESTAMP '2003-09-22 18:50:26.000000'); commit; However in DataStage, I can't simulate this in an ORAOCI9 stage...
