Hi, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding caused too. I'm just assessing the impact of changing ALL my jobs from OCI8i to OCI9i, and hope to find the best solution. My user insisted on using the OCI9i plugin once they have upgraded the Oracle Database to 9i. Understand that modifying the dsx file is no...

DataStage versions
Hi,
I know that a DataStage client of a lower version will not be able to logon to a DataStage server of higher version. How about a client connecting to a lower version of DataStage server?
Also for jobs developed on v5.2, will there be any problems migrating over to v6.0?
Thanks

Sorry, I have another question... Does DataStage defaults all user groups in Unix to DataStage developer access? If yes, will the default access change to 'no access' for all user groups in a later version? My client is concerned that if next time there is a new user group in the Unix system, they w...

DataStage Permission on Unix
Hi, My client is currently using DataStage v5.2 on Unix and I have the following questions regarding access rights. 1) Is it possible to create a unix id to administer DataStage, other than using root and dsadm? This is because my client would prefer to use the ids of their administrators, to admini...
