Unable to Save Job

Hi All,

I am trying to save a job with stages and i get the following error.

Unable to Save EditServ.impl.JobDefnImpl@79427df4

Has it got something to do with the indexes in the repository? Please let me know.

Thank You!!

Thanks DSguru

A hashed file in the job had the wrong metadata.... correcting that solved the issue, I dont see the connection between the two but looks like everything good now !

JOB with OCI stages hangs :Write caching disabled

I have a job which extracts data from a OCI stage and then does a few lookups and writes the data to Three OCI stages. The job just hangs when I run it , the log stops at "Write caching disabled". I think something is wrong with target OCI stages . I hooked up 3 sequential files in the pla...

Ray,

I meant that the source Orcale table has the dates in that format. When I use the TOCHAR function in the SQl to extract the date I get the dates as 14245 , 13939, 13880 ...etc.

I created a job to extract the dates to a text file and thats what I get in the text file after the TOCHAR function.

Yes, The date is in internal format ( i was saying i did a oconv to a text file and made sure that the conversion to internal format is ok) But my problem is when I write the internal date to a DATE field in a OCI stage it gives me the error posted above. ORA-01841: (full) year must be between -4713 and +9999

I am trying to insert DataStage numeric internal date value into a OCI stage "DATE" field. The transform I am using to convert the original date into internal format is like ICONV("1950-03-02", "D-YMD[4,2,2]"). It seems to work for many of my jobs but I am having a prob...
