I am not being able to connect using a DB2 Enterprise stage.Can you plz let me know where should I mention the username & password.I am also confused about the 'Database' & 'Server' option.

Can we use RCP with any database stage. I wanted to handle different metadata in a single database stage.

How can we use schema file or RCP with a database stage to achieve the compatibility with different meta data.

Is it possible to have any Database stage (say DB2,Oracle,ODBC) in a job, that can support different meta data.

For example , can I use a single DB2 stage simultaneously for different metadata :

1. emp_name varchar
emp_code Integer

2. emp_code integer
emp_location varchar

How do we find the start & end date of next month or previous month.Is there any function to do that.

Please let me know the following :

1. How can we perform a incremental data load in datastage
2. Can we restart a job sequence from a certain point on failure instead of running the whole sequence

When we can run a server job in both a single processor and multi-processor systems,why should we go for parallel job (just because it gives more number of stages to work with).

Please let me know whether I can invoke a remote shell (or a Java program) from a DataStage job.For example,I have my DS server in system A and I need to invoke a process in system B (remote).

I am trying to join (Inner) 2 datasets.The problem I am facing is the join output gives 0 rows and I find that one of the input dataset is sending only a few rows out of many rows it contains (shown by Performance statistics).What could be the reason for this.

Actually there is a limitation of changing the schedule manually (after every run).So, can you please suggest any external scheduling tool that can be used with DataStage Director to do that kind of scheduling.
