Have you checked with your unix admin , perhaps the LDAP server is down? You need to find out too on what has changed since the morning.

Hi alex though there are ways you can make it real time it's real strength is in batch processing. what sort of real time environment do you have? yes for packed decimals you can use the seq file stage. CFF is mainly for files you get from mainframes i,e structured data.

Is there any data in the bad file "Bad File: ora.9620.286000.0.log.bad "
did your upsert loaded ALL the records or is there a discrepancy in the records loaded? can you provide exact input and exact count of records loaded ?

Hi, If you swap the Oracle stage and replace that with a sequential file stage (or even a Copy stage), can you confirm that you get 7 million records as output? If you can't get the unix ODBC driver for Excel, you can always just write a macro to save your Excel into csv files and use the Sequential file stage in DS.

What is inthe sqlldr log file ?

please see the loader logfile: E:\scratch1/ora.9620.286000.0.log for details.

Are there any specific SQLLDR errors logged? Your answer may lie in the log file.

Please post the error message. Load failures could be due to many reasons and unless there is more information it's not possible to help you.

er perhaps a copy stage to split out the data,an Aggregator to get max and perhaps a join to glue it all back?

Can you clarify how in the Sort stage you define how NULL values should be treated ?

With regards to that message ,it's just a warning and you can ignore it if you like.

You'll probably get the same Oracle error doing that join in DS.
You need to engage your DBA to work out a feasbile solution. One suggestion is that you might want to consider a replicated database that is used only for reporting.
