ok,kenneth than should i type in my update statements as it is in the before and after tabs of ORAOCI stage.or should i follow any other format.

It is a target table .
ok,i had that doubt whether i can update tables which are not repository tables.so should i have 2 jobs which run before and after the job respectively.
Is there any way that i can do it in a single job .

Before and After job subroutine

I have a job where i need to run a update statement on table xxx before the job runs and another update statement on table xxx after the job is completed. I have put the update sttements in Before and After Job-sub routines respectively under the ExecTCL option.but i see a error Output from UniVerse...

I did not get any warnings.
But when i created Indexes on the table today,it is running fine.

My job uses a flat-file as source that passes through a transformer, where 7 or 8 new fields are appended with some values and then i have 4 hash files as lookups to 2nd transformer.I check if row exists i perform an update operation or else insert operation into Oracle via 2 OCI stages. I want to do this using Stagevariables.

In first stage variable Stage1 i use IConv(Date,"DYMD[4,2,2]")

Now i want to check the status of the above stage variable and do an OConv().Can you guide me how to do this.
