just a note...the user was given full permissions to the sqllib folder on the DS server and also added to the DB2ADMNS group on the server as well.

I remember editing the file in notepad but then having to run the "regen" command in DOS so the changes can take affect

Thanks Ray...Is there a "DOS" equivalend? I remember I did everything in the DOS command without invoking shell.

Just received this from IBM suport....we will be running another volume test on Monday and I will report in to let everyone know if this resolves our issue. Sorry for not mentioning, but yes he mentioned that's what they opened at his shop for version 8.1 Enetrprise edition.

We haven't changed the default port so we may just try opening 31538. We are in the processing of migrating all our projects to the enetrprise edition 8.0.1 so I'll keep this opened for the 8.o ports as well.

Ports to Open

Hi,
we have outsourced much of our development work to a firm in India and was wondering if there is a laundry list of ports that need to be opened in order for them to connect to our server. If not, is there a way for me to determine the ports?
