We started using ODBC Stage it works fine..

SQL Server stages are availabe only for windows environment.

The job was developed in single node. Both the environments are running with single node, the job runs fine in the old environment and it doesn't run with the new environment. Here is the strange part, the same job run fine in the new environment with the multi-node[with 2 node] .. with the more sea...

The same job works fine in one environment and doesn't work in another environment, I don't think it is issue with the job design...... it is something related to the project settings or the patches not in sync .... any suggestions for comparing between the servers?

Strangely when I set this APT_DISABLE_COMBINTATION parameter to True the job ran fine without any errors ....
and we don't want this parameter to set to True for all the jobs ... how can we identify what is the issue could be?

No problem on the database side, everything running fine...

Datastage is Linux and SQL Server is Windows, I was monitoring the VM by using the top command.

Yes, I have looked into the dump score, it was not inserting any sort.

Any suggestions is highly appreciated..

There is no sort in the job. it is straight data load from oracle --> Transformer --> DRS Stage[SQL Server] There is only one mount point for the scratch space and also I was monitoring the space of scratch there were enough space and there were no file created in scratch or /t...

I have tried both ways:
1) partition the data with default 2 node
2) Run the job sequentially
In both the case it errors out at the same point.

Firewall was blocking to execute the dsjob.exe, when we added to the exceptions able to execute the dsjob command as expected.

You can write a UNIX shell script for releasing the lock as a dsadm user.
Then the regular user can execute the script as a sudo user and pass the parameters project_name and job_name to release the locks.
