Thanks... I got the idea of using the "Alias", my original problem was resolved using the "alias" functionality.

I went to Advanced tab --> Data Item Binding --> select the job --> for oracle connector stage in the job I assigned(Bound to Data Item) the table definition After the above changes and running the automated services, able to see the data lineage. Yes after adding the Database Alias link then I was able to see "Where does the data comes from?" Other question I had When you say someone establised the "Host/Database" connection for your ODBC is it something with the .odbc.ini file ? I thought of testing by creating a new job...

Thank you for your time & guidance, I was able to get the Data Lineage for "Where does the data comes from?" Chances are someone established the "Host/Database" connection for your ODBC server DSN, but not for your Oracle one..... Use the button on the right to set up the cor...

Yes it showed the stages (I was using only one stage it showed me the seq file stage)
Then I clicked on Display Final assets, it showed me the sequential file stage
Then I clicked on show Graphical Report, it showed the job with OMD information

First, let's be sure that lineage is working "at all" for your Job. I'm also not sure yet "where" you are starting lineage. Find the Job that fails in the "Engine" tree at the left.... click on it. When you are at the page that shows the Job graphic, find your Oracle S...

I am not trying to find any relation between Job1 and Job2. I am able to do data lineage(internal) in Job 1(which uses ODBCstage), but when I use the Job2(which uses Oracle stage) I get the error. Both Job1 and Job2 uses the same database, same table for extracting the data. I am confused why it is ...

Thanks for the reply. By following your method, we can get the users count.
It would be nice if we have something automated, we can run/schedule the report when needed to make sure we don't exceed the users license count
