In the sequetial file stage I could not find the type defaults in the format tab.

Could you please explain this to me.

We are not given the the cobol layout.. we asked for the copy book but we will not get this......

Can I unpack the packed decimals and fixed binary decimals in the source file. If yes how is this done.

I am having datastage 7.5 installed and when I open a new desingner window i get a list to choose from. I have parallel jobs also in this list. Is this parallel job same as Datastage PX.

I tried using CFF to convert a packed data type, but could not find a place to specify this. The pdf file in docs does not say any thing about this.

I tried usig a CFF but I getting all the columns as null when I view the data. Can someone please detail on how to use a CFF.

Should I use mainfraem jobs to convert this or can I do this usnig the server jobs.

I think my packed fields has characters also... I am getting thid error when I used the routine "Error, unable to convert ' Z ' into number".
