Hello, Looks like we get the same error again. Below are the steps we did: 1) Reinstalled IIS 8.5 on RHEL. This would make internal User registry as default and clean up our previous mess. Did not change any ports just kept in the defaults. 2) Using IIS web console: a) Created user 'USER123'. Checke...

No Engine credentials were found on the Services Tier

Hello Gurus, We very recently installed 8.5 server edition on RHEL and immediately installed FP1. Engine, Metadata and Services are all on the same Linux box. We are trying to get OS authentication working with the help of Administration PDF help. We also tried steps in http://www-01.ibm.com/support...

Eric,

Thanks for your reply. I ran the update as the root user. The file has execute permissions on user, groups and others.

dscompinst: cannot execute binary file

Hello DS Gurus, I recently installed DataStage 8.5 on RedHat Linux successfully. When I try to install FP 1 I get the error below /tmp/script35515.sh: line 3: /ps/dsadm/IBM/InformationServer/Server/DSComponents/bin/dscompinst: cannot execute binary file I tried manually running the command in the te...

Found an alternate solution: split the source CLOB field to four varchar fields, each 1999 chars long, in the target.

Hope this info is useful to others.

Also wanted to check - Should OS also be NLS enabled during its installation?

Thanks.

Craig, I bumped up internal size for both fields in the DS job and ended up with ORA-01461 error in the target stage. Could it be the NLS issue? The source & target DB have the same NLS setting: select * from nls_database_parameters -- AL16UTF16. The dsenv file doesn't contain NLS_LANG or ORA_NL...

I'll try it first thing tomorrow morning and update the post. I don't have any/much knowledge about NLS like on which tiers (OS, DB, DS) it has to enabled, how to check if they are enabled or how to enable them. If you can please share some good links, PDFs and tutorials to enlighten me I would be v...

But don't I have to stick with 4000 Chars/Bytes in the target DRS stage since Varchar2 supports only a maximum of 4000 Chars/Bytes?

Craig,

LongVarchar(4000) for the 2 columns in source DRS stage and transformer, and Varchar(4000) in target DRS stage?

Thanks
