File input "1-Apr-97" how to convert in date

Iam readign CSV file using squential stage , input data from that it coming like 1-Apr-95 , 1-sep-00 how to Load that into Oracle DB I have tried stringtodate(input,"%dd-%mmm-%yy") But it is working only for data like 27-sep-95 not for 1-Apr-07 , how to overcome this Issue. Thanks Hasan

My requiremnt is i need last date of the month from the given input date ..not the previous date... -1 will only give me previous Date

Ex : input 1 feb 1993
I need output As 28 feb 1993 How to achive this.

"InsStgCcAccounts" is this your oracle stage? --Yes this my oracale stage... After the fatal error is there any log entry which states the log file is written to a path along with the file name? ---- No such entry shown that was just one liner fatal error What method are you using to load ...

Hi , I have input file from where Iam readign the data thorugh Sequential stage and have a transformation in between and doind transformationl like StringtoTimestamp Target is a Oracle Data base.... when i run the job i get the fatal error sent before. SequentialfileStage ---> XFM----->OracleDB

Ray,

Without any conversion function im just dumping into a text file and Iam getting data something like this :-- 5.1219e+12
Above value is same as input data getting from source database...
please put your thoughts on this....
