we tried that also, we asked our DBA to check the settings and he says settings are same.
is there any additional insert statement we have to give other than USING?

yes i have given the same parameters in the sequence also ,
even though it is nor running ,but in some other jobs when i am extracting the records from the same table it is extracting when i am running in the sequence or the job

actually the file which i am using is coming as a .txt file from mainframe.
from which i have to extarct the values and load it into secveral columns that's why i am using column import stage.
and after 173 bytes there is no char i mean it's a space values.
but i am taking only 173 bytes. :?:

the values are like this
2002-07-07,2005-05-05(date) and 390,231(char)which is no of months.
my requirement is like this 2002-07-07-(390) and the output is again a date.

Converting months in to date

hi,
i am having a requirtement for which i needs to convert months into date.
in my source side hae 2 columns date and varchar which is number of months and in the target i am having a date for which the logic is (date-no of months).

can anybody tell me how to convert the no of months to a date. :(

no, total length for all columns is 1061 bur for particular this segment(CU) i am having only 173 bytes .

the format is binary and i am importing the data as char.

i have given the filed delimiter as none and record delimiter also as none.
is there any problem with that one.
