Multiple Reference in Lookup
Hi Just read that a Lookup can have multiple references for an incoming stream of data to be matched. My question [might sound silly]: [1] Should the key to the Incoming data and all the reference be the same [in cases, where references are from multiple sources] ?? OR [2] for each Reference can the...

The only good option is to use Usage Analysis to determine in which jobs the table definition is used. Re-import the table definition then manually edit the links where that table definition is used, ... Thanks Ray. I would try out Usage Analysis to get a grip of changes that may be needed. Otherwi...

What about that? Add transformer after Agg and add dummy columns inside to sync all inputs before the Funl. Thanks Kris and Ray..and I would try out the Col Gen, though I was skeptical abt the COPY stage. Pigpen, I have bunch of Aggregators[20+] for different purposes, and don't want to burn myself...

The inputs to the Funnel stage needs to have identical(exact) metadata. So, your job desing won't work unless you are bringing out all the columns from all the aggregators which I doubt it. You could use a join stage or Merge stage followed by a Transformer. Thanks. I have bunch of Aggregators, and...

All I have is the copybooks in .txt format I am interested too in knowing this...If there's a change to Meta...

Updates to Table Definition and its implications
Hi, I have COBOL FD table definitions and LOAD in each of the STAGES. If I need to add another field to these table definitions, how would I go about reflecting the latest change to all STAGES that refer it? Is the only option, going to all Stages that use these definitions, and manually do the upda...

Well spotted, it's not necessary. I was solving a different problem. The aggregator stage will generate: Groupkey1,Groupkey2,Groupkey3.....Amt1,Amt2,Amt3.... 1111,2222,3333.....$20,$8,$5 2222 ... Thanks all for suggestions, [though some answers, I can't see in full]. But my question is Would it be ...

Aggregator: Multiple column aggregation into one
Hi, For the same group key in an aggregator, would it be possible to aggregate multiple columns in a record into one output column. e.g Input Groupkey1,Groupkey2,Groupkey3.....Amt1,Amt2,Amt3.... 1111,2222,3333.....$10,$5,$3 1111,2222,3333.....$15,$3,$2 2222,3333,4444.....$1,$2,$3 2222,3333,4444........

Thanks keshav, i will try that tomorrow and let you know how it goes. And Finally can i conclude that each column that is passed through aggregator has to be either grouped or aggregated???? Yes..anything from the Input of Aggregator to get to Output of Aggregator should either be GROUP column[s] o...

There's a logical inconsistency in your question. If it's static then surely there's no need to update it? Am I missing something here? ... Sorry if I had not been clear.
