Unable to open multiple clients concurrently

Hi all, I'm encountering an error when attempting to open multiple clients concurrently (i.e. Designer, Director, Administrator). I am able to login to each of them individually. I get the same error whether I double click the program shortcut or use the single sign on functionality from within eith...

this is strange to me. I am having the same symptoms as above. When I uncheck the checkbox for "Share User Registry between IBM Information Server and DataStage Server", I am able to login successfully. BUT, I have it checked on a different server that we installed a few weeks ago, and it ...

Active Sessions Trusted column

Does anyone know what the "Trusted" column refers to under the Active Sessions grid/list via the IBM Info Server web console under Session Management? The column is on the far right, along with the other User Name, Session ID, Address, Type, Created, Last Updated columns. So far, I haven't...

Thanks all. I had the same "Unable to initialize plug-in:" issue when installing our v8.0.1 environment today. the fix was to use the 32 bit libraries for Oracle. I did not have to re-install anything. The lib32 directory was already installed with the 64-bit Oracle driver. We have Info Se...

thanks for the tips!

I forgot to mention that I installed Fixpack 1A. Also, our sys admin thought she put us in the admin group, but didn't; so, she put us in the administrators group on the box. Once I re-installed with admin privileges and without the FixPack 1A, it seems to be working ok now.

v8.0.1 client on Vista

Has anyone encountered the following errors, trying to run the v8.0.1 DS client on Windows Vista? We're running Vista Enterprise with Service Pack 1. Our DataStage server installation is on RHEL AS4, but is irrelevant here since we don't even get far enough to try and connect to the server. I get th...

Thanks for the explanation. I also doubt the files are the cause of our problem, but I just wanted to know what they are in case it's in any way related. This particular job does not touch Oracle at all (uses SQL Server via odbc). We do use Oracle, but this "/oracle/exports" directory is s...

Does anyone know what this particular file is/does? .../Ascential/DataStage/Template/I_DS_JOBS/INDEX.MAP I'm troubleshooting some odd warning messages in our /var/log/messages system log, which shows something like this: May 6 09:32:10 cpgapl60 automount[26691]: >> mount: filer:/vol/vol3/falconp_q1/...

FYI, we had applied this patch long ago (Feb2007), and it seemed to work ok for our environment. We did not encounter the same errors you have described. However, if memory serves me right, in our case we also had many members (100+) in the dstage group, which I think was the actual root cause for t...

Has anyone figured out how to output the actual apostrophe character to XML using the XML stage? Our target system is not interpretting the "'" text properly, so they want the actual apostrophe character.

Of course, I completely understand and agree with the post above.
