From the /IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/bin directory, run the wasprofile.sh to delete the profile; then delete the profiles directory. thanks, but by this time I had already deleted that script and parent directories. By following the instructions in the above IBM sites, I was able to re-install success...

Rob, I had the similar problem before for 8.0.1 version. I was instructed by the tech. support just delete everything after the IBM directory from the following: ./root/InstallShield/Universal/IBM/InformationServer/Gen2/_vpddb/vpd.script. Are you installing IIS 8.1 Linux 32 bit on RHEL AS 4 64-bit?...

Uninstall Information Server
OK, I made a mistake on on our lab server when trying to re-install Information Server v8.1. I forgot to run the actual uninstall script first before removing/deleting the application directories (IBM/InformationServer, IBM/WebSphere). So now when I run the install script, it says that an installati...

You should upgrade to Information Analyser 8.1.1 anyway since it comes with a number of patches and the new business rule monitoring functionality. As far as I know it's the only product at the 8.1.1 version and the others are still at 8.1. I did notice on the IBM site that Information Analyzer ver...

Does anyone know if the Info Server installation includes the Information Analyzer software by default even if your license file does not include Info Analyzer? My scenario is we installed v8.1 Info Server with a DataStage and QualityStage license (the install did not allow me to check the box for I...

Thanks for the reply Ray. OK, I understand now that the spawned server processes inherit the environment variables from dsrpcd. So, though the process is actually running under a user id, I need to set the environment variables explicitly (for example HOME and USER) from within the job or within any...

Environment variables incorrect at runtime?
I'm running 7.5.1A in impersonation mode and 8.1 in non-mapped mode (no credential mapping), both on RedHat Linux. PROBLEM : When I run a job using a non-dsadm id, the HOME and USER environment variables are set to the dsadm user's values. The behavior seems to be the same in Server, Parallel jobs a...

I need to do exactly this. Were you successful with getting a procedure from IBM that works? dinagiza, would you mind sending me the steps that IBM gave you so I could give it a try? I found one entry of the database repository in the WAS web console under Resources > JDBC providers > Data Sources (...
