How to get fieldnames of my source files

Hi

Can anyone explain me how can I get metadata of my source file.I mean is there any prebuilt routine which will give me all the fields of my source file or is there anyother way by which I can capture my source file fields.

Do you want to know the number of records in your source file without running the job or after running the job.
If it is for the former one then I don't know,but if it is the later one then you can look for the Xpert suggestion. :lol:

Just look at the properly the names are not case sensitive in DSLinkrowcount and DSJ.LINKROWCOUNT.

Job is being accessed by another user

Hi to all

While creating the job because of some connection problem between the server and client, my job becomes unaccesible.
And It gives the message like 'The connection between the server is broken'
What is the solution for this and why it will arise ?

What you thought is right.My job is as follows

FTP------->Transformer------------>OCI

My problem is the source file contains n records,but my FTP stage is retrieving only n-1 records.What shall I have to do so that I will retrieve all the n records.

ftp not retrieving all records

Hi to all

My source file is located on ftp and it contains 2 records.
My problem is my job is running fine ,but it is retrieving only one record. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem and how can solve it/
