CFF Stage problme in Parallel job
Hi all, I'm trying to read data from a mainframe file and i'm unable to do that with a parallel CFF stage. If I read the same file from server job using the server cff stage, job is working fine. Below are the details I gave for the server job: Data Format: EBCDIC Record Style: Binary Record Length:...

Thanks craig. The problem got resolved. But the error was a different though. After changing the oracle library path to 32 bit libraries, I tried the job and it again aborted with same error code. I went to look at the environment variable initialized in the job log and found nothing different than ...

Oracle 10g with DS 7.5.1
Hi all, I don't know if this issue came for discussion in this forum, my search resulted in different topics. We recently installed DS7.5.1 on a new HPUX server as our current current server which holds DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD and 10 other projects became more conjested. Our target Db is Oracle10g. Our ...

Sybase to Oracle Date/time conversion
Hi all, My job is to dump the data from sybase database to Oracle database. I'm using the following conversion in transformer before loading it to the oracle DB. [b]Source Date format: 2003-10-16 00:00:00.000 conversion used: Substrings(sbo_data.col_name,1,19)[/b] I don't have any problem with the c...

ODBC Sparce error
We have a job that involves sparce lookup. We have executed it for multiple cyccles in the past 2 months but never had any problem. But yesterday it was suddenly aborted with the following error: Fatal Error: Could not connect to datasource[DataDirect][ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol driver]Abnormal end unit...

Max number of columns readable thru' ODBC
Hi, I have a mainframe source with 2287 columns. We use iWay connector to extract mainframe data and read from iWay connector through an ODBC stage. The job is working fine as long as the number of columns is <=1024. If I try to read 1025 columns, it gives me the following error: [IBI][EDA]General O...

Re: Px Field level Warnings(The modify operator keeps field)
You encounter this kind of warning when you drop a column in between and define that column later on. You said you dropped a column in filter stage. But you must have defined the column again in the stage after "filter" stage. Since RCP already knows that that column existed before, it giv...

My problem is solved. In fact, when using sparce lookup through ODBC enterprise stage, it outputs all the matches my default. I didn't know this and couldn't test till my driver was installed just now. And it is amazingly fast :) Chulett, the problem is that I am not allowed to create any work table...

Thanks DSguru2B, that's a useful suggestion, but I cannot implement it because my target tables reside on a different database from staging tables. I only have access to create tables at staging level, while my lookup table is a target table. Is there nothing I can do within sparce lookup in ODBC en...
