ODBC Drivers on AIX
We are converting from the Windows server to AIX. When we apply the SAS ODBC driver we get errors. In the documentation that we are looking at, it states that multiple odbc drivers cannot run simultaneously. Has anyone come across this? Here is the documentation that we have been looking at: You sho...

Error when reading a file
Has anyone seen the following error, and if you have, what can I do about it?
ds_ipcopen() - call to CreateFileMapping() failed - Access is denied.
This file is a sequential file being read as input to a job. Fixed width columns. Nothing special.

CFF stage
I have FTP'd a file from an os/390 mainframe to Data Stage and am using the CFF stage to get the data that I need from the file. The data is not correct. I am getting unpacked spaces in multiple locations on the file depending on the record. I am FTP'ing the file as binary and putting it into a sequ...

Packed data
I am trying to FTP packed data from an OS/390 system to Data Stage 6.0. I keep getting an error that I have a mismatch number of columns between my data and my link. I used a cobol layout for my meta data. What do I need to declare my fields as for data type? I have tried several different types and...

Focus File Layouts
I am trying to read in a Focus File layout. We currently do not have these layouts in cobol, so I was wondering if anyone knows if DS can import a focus file layout.

FTP JCL to mainframe to run
I am using Data Stage XE and what I am trying to do is set up an FTP to the mainframe. The file that will be sent is the JCL for a job on an OS390 machine. I am trying to FTP directly into the JES system to kick off this job. We do not do Data set triggering where I am at, so I need to do it this way.

Empty Source
I have a situation where I will not be getting any data from my source, but I still need to populate a file with some hard coded data and a record count coming from the source. The source gives me no records, so it cannot populate the count and I get no output.

Trailer Record
Hi,
I am trying to put a trailer record onto a sequential file after I have gone through the transform. I can create the record, but I am unsure of how to append it to the file that it needs to go onto. If someone could enlighten me, I would appreciate it.
