Hi,

Do we need run the dsenv script everyime we use the dsjob command...because i am getting an error if i relogin ..anybody pls help me out....

I found out the path where it is there and i ran the dsenv script it is working...


The path is

InformationServer/Server/DSEngine

then I ran the . ./dsenv

dsjob command works ......

I want just share my experiance....

dsjob in Information Server

Hi,
I want to know..How to execute the dsjob command in the Information server..for example in the other versions we will move to the particular directory to run the ds job command for example the bin directory..can anyone help me out with this....

As noted, it's a two step process. Step 1 involves creating a "domain user" who can use things in the deployment domain (including the Information Server and Application Servers). A domain user ca ... we are using AIX so there is no concept of domain user in Aix..but the there is admin us...

Configuration Problem

hi, I was given to configure the Datasage,Like creating users,groups etc..As i was doing that Is the any Procedure to follow in doing...Is there any standered directory struture that we usually follow ..Pls help me with that...I am not a expert in Unix...If any body can help me out it will be great....

And however did you manage to come to that conclusion? :wink: :wink: Not yet craig...Called up the IBM suport asking them whether the newer version support the ISAM files they asked me send the job and the files ...i did send them they cerated a case # ...I don't know when they will get back to me....

You know what. Craig is right. VSAM cannot be accessed by sequential file stage. The files that I have at my current site are flat files with binary data and not VSAM files. So, forget my suggestion altogether. Wait for someone to come by and shed some light on this. I think CFF stage is the way to...

My bad. Not the String, but under General , provide the Character Set as EBCDIC and Data Format as binary . Along with that, set the Record Length as fixed and Final Delimiter as end . What options did you try in px sequential file stage? Did you try, Format tab , under 'Defaults', String ----> Export EBCIDIC as ASCII ? Never done this, hence the 'possibly' part. And it would require purchasing ODBC drivers for this, nothing ships with DataStage that would handle the files in question. Hi, I have index cobol file...I tried to convert that by using CFF stage in server i gave both the option like the binary and the other but still it shows junk data...The file is indexed file...Also when i tired the same in Parallel it shows the same....I tired with various option it shows the same ...
